Rain is probably one of the most annoying things to deal with.
Especially in places like the UK, rain is as unpredictable as it’s intermittent. Going from drizzle, to showers, to downpours, to cats and dogs, to drizzle again... All. Year. Long.
Carrying a brolly when you don’t need it is as annoying as rain itself.
Some are huge and heavy, others require carrying a larger bag than needed and many are so tiny and fragile, they are useless (and damp everything inside your bag).
It’s even more annoying having to buy a last-minute overpriced umbrella.
They will never be under a fiver and let’s face it, more often than not, they will end up broken, lost, missed or forgotten (again).
Ironically, many drier countries also find rain annoying.
But for very obvious different reasons.
The lack of access to healthy water sources in many places of the planet, compromises their development.
Girls are dropping out of school, forced to walk long distances to collect dirty water.
There are no private toilets if any, and young children are not surviving to see their fifth birthday because of preventable diseases.
